DR. CHRISTOFFER J. GAHNSTROM
POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW
I completed my PhD on the topic of modelling spatial navigation using reinforcement learning supervised by Prof. Hugo Spiers. I am part of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) which comprises of a group of labs around Europe researching the role of the hippocampus in memory. My work is focused on studying humans using immersive virtual reality as well as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
I have BSc in Cognitive Science (Umea University, SE) and a MSc in Brain and Cognitive Sciences (University of Amsterdam, NL). I previously spent two years working as research assistant in a decision-making lab (University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, DE) utilising pharmacological interventions, pupillometry, magnetoencephalogram, and computational modelling of behaviour.
